Gifted Program at DMCI

* To qualify, students must be identified by IPRC as "Gifted" 
* The program supports approximately 200 students
* All the core subjects are offered in the gifted program

As Canada enters the 21st century, it is clear that our students will need highly developed skills beyond the basics provided by the standard curriculum.  Students will require the ability to work effectively as part of a team; to use a variety of technologies with ease; to solve problems creatively; and, to complete complex projects drawing upon a spectrum of resources and expertise. At Don Mills Collegiate, the model for the Gifted Program includes the curricular fundamentals and the development of the higher level thinking skills needed for the future: analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
